Rated 1 de 5 de DB par Do not buy this. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laser has no method by which you can ensure that the lines being projected are plumb/level. The laser did not self-level. The magnetic mount would have been nice if it had some mark or detent that indicated that the laser was square to the surface on which it is affixed -- and if the weight of the laser didn't cause the bracket on the mount to droop. Also, the body of the device itself is tapered, so you can't even set it flush against a flat surface to project a parallel line. I can't imagine how anyone would find this to be a useful device.

Rated 5 de 5 de TheBobs par Perfect - Used for tile Doing some tricky wall tile work that needed perfect level. Laser level was the answer as the level line isn't covered by thin set as opposed to pencil drawn or a snap line and is very accurate. The tool self leveled perfectly and I tested it manually several different ways to verify (magnet, stool, tub edge, vertical , horizontal, etc.) - perfect every time . The only problem I had with self leveling is when the unit was upside down and that is user error not product issue. (So many proud moments) I used it against Red Gard and red light showed up very well even against the red. Did not use outside but I have issues with most lasers on tools outside. I highly recommend this laser level especially for the price.

For accurate measurements nothing beats the tried and true tape measure, but for quick estimates this is great. I'd have giving it 5 stars but it lacks one little detail, the unit includes itself in its measurements..having the length of the unit printed on the unit would be a big time saver.

However, I wouldn't trust it for a precise measurement. When comparing its accuracy to a standard tape measure, I fount it to be a little lacking. This is partially due to the straight line being measured. It's easy to line up a tape measure from point to point, but the laser is a little trickier to keep along the same line. A very slight change of angle in the line of measurement results in a slightly different measurement between the tape measure and laser measurer (from 1/16" to 1/8" deviation, even for a distance as short as 3 feet - haven't tested accuracy for longer measurements).

Getting the angle for the slope of the roof was easy on the portions that are flat but the triangle protrusion will require the ridge board to be placed along a 45 degree wall and also follow the slope of roof for the flat portions. So I got this laser level since it's got a manual lock which is what I need but it's not bright enough for outdoor. It's already past 7pm and completely overcast outside so it's not that light out. But this laser light didn't even show on the wall when standing 15 feet away. So this might be great for indoor use but useless for outside.

All I have is a laser light that emits a cross hair that is not square to the device when it is placed on a level surface. The only written material included with package is a Laser Safety and Maintenance booklet which states "To maintain the accuracy of your work, check the laser often to make sure it is properly calibrated. See Accuracy Check instructions in your Product Manual." Well, there is no product manual included. Very disappointed.
