WORST DESIGN EVER
This dishwasher does not air dry, and that might be okay if the shelves were better designed. The top of every cup and glass has a puddle of water left on it, and pans or bowl washed standing on their side also have several ounces pooled inside. The manufacturer knows this, as the user manual tells you to empty the machine from the bottom rack up so that the water spilling down wont land on the clean dishes. I have to keep a dish drainer on my counter top above the dishwasher to finish drying items I remove from the machine, and the floor in front of it is constantly spattered. After doing lots of research online, I settled on this Bosch model for price and features. My house is open concept with cathedral ceiling so noise can be amplified. This is so quiet I have to lean down toward it to make sure it's on! I didn't expect to use the top rack, but have found it works GREAT and frees up space on the bottom rack (by removing the silverware bin) so I can fit more and larger dishes in. The only drawback is that the tines in the bottom rack are a bit too close together , making it hard to fit thicker dishes or those with more than the usual curve. Overall, LOVE this machine and would recommend it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

HATE this dishwasher
I absolutely hate this dishwasher. I wish I had never bought it & had exchanged or returned it while I could. It is absolutely nauseating how terrible it stinks. It mildews dishes left in it more than a day. I have to run or barely full just to keep it from ruining my dishes.
The tine setup, especially on the bottom rack, renders it virtually useless. The middle rack has little clearance - you can barely fit a full sized glass in it. Definitely won’t accommodate any type of insulated, Tervis style, tumblers.
Biggest appliance regret I’ve ever had!
Only plus is how quiet it is. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Not very dry
So far it cleans pretty well, but then I've only had it a week. The biggest issue is that it does not dry very well. If I had known this going in, I would not have bought it. It is a condensation dryer, so you have to use very hot wash temps in order to get the glassware dry. In fact, Bosch's tips and tricks online say to ALWAYS use auto, use rinse aid and use heated dry. Even then, metal objects are sorta dry and plastics are literally dripping wet. I would expect to find pools of water under coffee cups and such -- any dishwasher does that. But plastics? It even SAYS that plastics won't dry.

New Brand for me
I bought this to replace another brand that died before its time.
I was initially concerned about how close the times are for my plates, but this was not the case. In fact, with my old dishwasher my plates would fall forward with the wider spaces. I have had no problems yet.
I like the third rack. I use it for silverware, measuring cups and knives and I don't use the basket so that I have more space for pots and pans.
So far I really like this dishwasher. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

super quiet but installation requires a fitting
Dishwasher is wonderfully quiet. That said, installation could have been made easier by the manufacturer. For some stupid reason they do not include the elbow connector with "3/4 on one end with compression connector" that connects to your incoming water line. Of course you don't know this until you start installing and/or read the directions inside the packing container. I also needed an adapter for the waste disposal since Bosch's connector was only 3/4 in and my old disposal in 7/8 in but maybe this is a common issue with other dishwashers/disposals. Piece of junk
I had a 30 year old Whirlpool dishwasher that finally gave up the ghost after the wiring harness melted. The harness is no longer available, otherwise I would have repaired it! I first purchased an inexpensive DW, but got what I paid for. My sister has a Bosch, so I bit the bullet, returned the other one, and paid the premium. Unfortunately, I was out of town quite a bit in the first months after purchasing it, so my return period has passed, otherwise I would have uninstalled and reinstalled yet ANOTHER DW. This machine will only get dishes clean if they are pretty much pre-WASHED. Numerous times I have opened it after the cycle to find my dishes covered in an unidentifiable substance despite the dishes being pretty clean going in. Then I have to SCRUB these dishes to get off the dried on crud. This last time there was even crud on the inside of the door that took 3 cycles to come off. Remember, I had a 30 year old DW, so I know about pre-rinsing. I am not putting terribly dirty dished into this machine. Then, to top it off, the spinner from the middle rack has fallen off 2 times. The controls are not intuitive. You have to select them in a very specific manner, plus cancelling a wash is not obvious. The only positive I will give it is that it does DRY very well. That was one of my complaints of the first replacement DW I bought, so was happy with that improvement. If I could I would return this machine. These pictures do not do justice to the scum that was on these dishes. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
