Does the drain hose connect from the back of the machine? How long is the drain hose? The diagram in the manual shows the connection on the left side of the machine but our laundry tub will sit to the right of the washer

Rated 3 de 5 de par new is not always better [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this and had BIG trouble the first week...would't drain, load noisy and unbablance, didn't like the features, especially the locking lid. BUT...warranty service sent a repair person out asap...turns out the machine was seriously not level!! It's now working as expected. I suupose I'll get used to the new noises of operation, the annoying having to restart eeach time I need add an item/check water level. I miss having control of operations, do not like it "thinking" for me.. New and improved is not always best!!!! I do hope it lasts for 20 years, like my old ones of yore.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Wash and rewash [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got it a week ago and we have tried different settings different water levels different sizes in wash loads and our clothes seem like they are not getting clean the way they should be some loads come out with soap residue on them so you have to rewash and it still seems like it’s not getting clean Wish the water would be able to start running before your start putting clothes in don’t like that you can’t open the lid to check water level and you have to push the start button twice before the light turns solid green if you don’t it just flashes and shuts off without even washing the load of laundry

Rated 2 de 5 de par Hate this washer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Do not like having to pour the detergent in before the water starts which can damage fabric. If you pour in the detergent and start the water before you add the clothes, the instructions (which are not very helpful), indicate the sensor will be interfered with. I have owned several whirlpools and this one is the least acceptable. The water level does not even cover the clothes all the way so that well into the cycle, some clothes on top are not even wet. Water saving features are very unacceptable to me. The washer is also very loud and makes noises that sound as though gears are grinding. Very annoying.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Needs better instructions [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't had it long but the washer is good. I have and have had Whirlpool products before. The main issue is that if you run a load with certain settings and the following load uses the same settings, the washer won't run if you simply close the lid and press the start button again. You have to turn the main selector knob around and then back to the original setting and then press start for the cycle to begin. My previous Cabrio just started each cycle without doing all of that. I couldn't find anything about that quirk in the instructions; I just had to figure it out.

Rated 4 de 5 de par One month, so far so good [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only had the washer about a month, so far so good but wish it had the four water levels like my old whirlpool washer had instead of water level sensing. Just another thing to break. Also wish whirlpool designed a better way to balance the tub instead of those spring hangers that get weak with time and have to be replaced to soon. Washing machines use to last at least 15 yrs and now they don’t like most other appliances. As far as I’am am concerned things are getting worst instead of better because if they don’t last manuf. will sell them more often, it’s called greed.

Rated 4 de 5 de par [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's a good washer. I have some small complaints but nothing major. Pros: The removable agitator makes washing larger things much easier. It has more water temperature settings than the basic: cool, cold, warm, hot. There's a soak option for both the whites and colors washes. You can select an extra rinse before starting the load, if you think it will need it. Cons: It's more computerized than I would have preferred. The start button has to be pushed twice to get it to actually start. Because it has a water sensing level, if you don't put the detergent in first, you may find unused detergent on your clothes.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Worst Washer Ever [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Auto sense for water fill is terrible. Even the "Deep Water Wash" option does not add enough water to wash a load of towels. Of what use is a 3.8 Cu. Ft. tub if you can't fill it with enough water to wash a large load? Not going to baby sit a washer to make sure items have enough water in the tub to get clean. Ended up donating the washer (was only 3 weeks old) and purchased a brand that allows manual water level settings as well as auto sense. It is SO much better. Even the auto sense option works better when it is used.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Love the machine so far! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had the washer for one full week. Really like it. It's not top of the line, but nice upgrades from my previous 17 yr old Whirlpool. I like the water sensing too. I don't have to guess. It sure spins the water out of my clothes too. I hang dry my husband/sons t-shirts and they dry a lot faster now. Haven't washed large comforters yet, but having the removal agitater will make that so much easier. The push button does take some figuring out. I noticed I do have to press it twice to get it started as others mentioned. Not a big deal though.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Cleans clothes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought it about two months ago .I've loved Whirlpool washer/dryers in the past and have had several. It does get the clothes clean but is extremely noisy and vibrates more than it should. It is level so that isn't the issue. It has the removable agitator, which sounds like a good feature but, when it's in place and the washer is in spin cycle, it rattles. Sounds as though it fell off during the cycle. Sorry to say that I'm not pleased with it.

Rated 1 de 5 de par NONE [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased it a week ago and had nothing but problems. 1. The water level for the amount of clothes is far too low. Or it’s to much when there is only a small amount of clothes. 2. I could not get the machine to easily restart after I had stopped it. 3. I loaded the washer with detergent and clothes, pressed the start bottom and it appears to start the sensor cycle. But when I returned about five minutes later, the washer is completely off (no lights on whatsoever). It did not even fill with water. This has happened about four times. A washer should not be this difficult to work. Especially one that is on a week old.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Appliances should make life easier - this does NOT I've had this washer 5 days and already I hate it. In one of the first loads a coin was in a pocket and lodged in the crevice at the bottom of the tub. It caused the washer to vibrate so hard, it shook the plumbing and caused a leak. Took a while for me to figure it out. So bottom line is that I have to be very careful to make sure that no debris or coins get in washer. I do a lot of yard work. If a seed or some small thing were on my clothes and got in this crevice, I would not be able to get it out. I'm going to bite the bullet and pay the ridiculous 20% restocking fee. I'm in shopping mode again, but at least I know not to get a washer that has a tub constructed like this.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Interesting [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my new whirlpool a month ago. I had my last whirlpool for 16 years. I’m getting use to the new technology. The washer sure makes some interesting noises. Lots of clunks and shaking and yet the unit doesn’t move across the floor so I guess it’s suppose to do that. I suppose if knew if the sounds were normal it would be better but it doesn’t sound right. It does clean the clothes well. It is the same foot print as my old washer but the tub is deeper and you can remove the spinner in the center and gives you room for a bigger blanket or sheets.

Rated 1 de 5 de par NO operating instructions provided Thoroughly disgusted because it came with no operating instructions, only installation instructions; and the online documentation is the same, with no operating instructions. They provided NO description of the different wash cycles and how they work. The Quick Start guide only describes the Normal Cycle, but none of the others. So how am I supposed to use the washer without instructions? I need a detailed description of what each cycle does It is appalling that they do not provide this with the instructions. I've had the washer a week and have not yet been able to use it without instructions. Help!!!

Rated 3 de 5 de par [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Washer are not like they use to be. If you don’t wash the washer you wind up with soap fabric softener, lint on your dark cloths. Not enough water because it’s a guessing game and none of these things conserve water or electricity when you have to keep rinsing. This is second washer in five years the other one quit got the new one thought it was a good thing. Not any different. Older washing machines were much better. Due to stupid unnecessary regulations. I have an electric stove with stupid regulations on burners that make no difference in somebody getting burned. We need somebody with common sense to rewrite regulations.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Not impressed! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased about a month ago. Do not like the auto fill sensor. Sometimes it barely gets the fabrics wet and have to add more water with a bucket. Other times I have a small load and it fills the washer full. Would prefer a setting of small, medium or large. Washer takes more time to fill than my old washer. Also do not like that if you change wash type setting after water has started to fill, the washer completely drains. Do not like that the washer adds cold water to hot water. selection.

Rated 1 de 5 de par (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Hello, you won't like my review but it will be honest. This is the worst machine I have ever owned. The auto sense takes over regardless of where you set the control. Never a proper amount of water. With h.e. soap still does not rinse properly. Extra cycle is needed to rinse. What's the point of h.e. if you half to use Xtra water. And I am following the soap directions for h.e. If the machine goes out of balance it needs to be recalibrated. They don't tell you that when you buy it. Machine and warranty near 1200 dollars. What a waste of money. Making this machine all digital turned it into not user friendly junk. This isn't my only whirlpool just the first one I put on line register. You asked l this is a honest review just related to my machine only. Enjoy your day.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Washer works fine, users manual lacks information [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer works just fine once you figure out how to use it. The users manual contains very little information and no details on how to use the product. Pretty much put in the soap, put in the clothes, select a cycle, then press start. But if you press start, the left most light flashes and that's all that happens. To start, you have to press and hold start until all the lights come on, release, then press start again. This is not documented in the user's guide. I had to Google it......

Rated 1 de 5 de par Garbage. Garbage washer and even worse customer support. We've had a technician out twice who did absolutely nothing except rack up our water bill, they sent the same deadbeat the second time and then threatened to close our case if they scheduled a third appointment and found nothing wrong with it. It CAN'T CLEAN CLOTHES. Leaves a residue on anything you put in it if you're using detergent which I was under the impression was required to clean clothes? Stay away from this model and stay away from whirlpool if you value respect and your own time.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Need better operating instructions [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the Whirlpool washer about a month ago but have only done a few loads because of out of town travel. The delivery and installation were fine except we felt forced to sign off on the appliance without knowing it worked properly. Unfortunately, the "sensing fill" did not work properly as the washer didn't start after pressing the "Start/Pause" button. It finally started after hitting the start button repeatedly. I called Whirlpool's 800 number for help but they scheduled a house call when the steps suggested didn't work. The tech that came to the house shows us how to operate the machine so hopefully it will be fine now.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Large wash tub with removable agitator! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this washer because we always had good experiences with Whirlpool products. Easy to use with few bells & whistles. This washer gets off balance easily during spin cycle. It gets very loud & bounces around. If I don't use the deep water wash cycle some of the laundry doesn't get wet. At the end of final spin, several of the clothes are stuck under the agitator & are difficult to pull out of the washer. I hope it will get better as I experiment with the loads & settings.

Rated 4 de 5 de par So far so good, still evaluating.... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far so good.... pretty decent machine! Still need to read my whole manual and figure out this agitator option because thats what im used to, an agitator and evidently this one has 2 options. Right now mine doesnt sound like its on the agitator option, but i need to read more on it. But my clothes are coming out clean, most importantly and i hope this self filling water feature is saving some money on my water bill.... so again, its so far so good thats why i only gave 4 stars.... will update this later if need be when ive used it more!!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Very disappointed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this washer a week ago and not happy with it . Regardless of setting will only fill about quarter of tub and the same amount of water for rinse cycle. Extremely disappointed!!

Rated 3 de 5 de par Needed to be recalibrated. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nowhere in the instructions did I find it would need to be recalibrated before it would work. Hooked it up and it wouldn’t go past sensing. We thought it was a problem with our water line. Very upsetting for an hour! I just happened to Google the problem and found a YouTube video basically giving a combination of steps to recalibrate and it worked right away. I called the place where we bought it and was told that only happens when the motherboard is replaced?? Ours was brand new in the box. Working fine now and I like it. Very quiet.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Trash! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in February and had it delivered and installed 20 days ago and it's giving me trouble already. It's bouncing all over the place. And, it was so loud one night that I thought someone was breaking in. It goes through all the cycles, and when I open the lid to transfer my clothes to the dryer, they're still sopping wet. The fabric softener ball hasn't even opened. I am soooo disappointed with this purchase. I expected better from Whirlpool.
Date de publication: 2024-03-27
Rated 3 de 5 de par lots of features and some hidden issues [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The knobs are clear in their meaning and the removable agitator is a huge benefit. Purchasers should know they can't watch the tub fill as the lid has to be closed to run. They should also know the lid locks during wash, so if a load is out of balance there are additional steps that have to be made to clear it. Also, mine arrived with a huge dent in the bottom frame in the back. No damage to the box, so it was put in the box that way at the factory.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Regret replacing my 28 year old Maytag. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am 77 years old and have used all types and brands of washers and dryers in my lifetime. I take really good care of my appliances and expect them to last a very long time. However, I really don't like this washer. It agitates (if that's what you want to call it) in slow motion. The water level sensor NEVER puts enough water in the take to wash the load. I always have to add more. You can only open the lid at the beginning and it's locked down after the wash cycle starts, so you can't add anything or even look without cancelling the whole cycle. I don't like any appliance (or person, for that matter) that forces me to do something I don't want to do.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great top load washer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old Whirlpool died so we are both happy to have a new one that fits our tight space. This one holds more than the old 3.6 Cu. Ft. and the difference is amazing, yet still in the same footprint. It's like this one holds twice the laundry load of the old one and will easily take the queen sized bed cover the old machine choked on, it's like it could take two of them and that's with the removable center spindle in place.. It's quieter, auto sensing fill, uses much less water, spins out the water many times better and easy to use.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Water doesn’t cover enough to actually wash [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Water does not cover clothes—even on heavy sweating with deep wash and rinse. I have to add 3-6 gallons of water every load and often re-rinse. The removable agitator is nice and once I add a TON of water to actually cover the clothes, it works okay. But, I use a washer ball. I can’t imagine how much detergent would be left on clothes. Absolute waste of money. Get yourself an old washing machine that actually washes. Wish I would have.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Love the Washer, Manual could use some updates [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are happy with the washer. HOWEVER, we had an issue when we first received it. Our old washer you pushed start once and things started. This new washer you have to push START twice to get it to start. There is nothing in the Owner's Manual or on the washer that tells you this. We ended up having to call for service and a technician came out to tell us this. You really need to update the manual to include this information. I looked in the manual to call for assistance when it wouldn't start but just kept flashing at me and it was of no help at all. Very frustrating with something that could easily be fixed with some additional info in your manual.
