Can I use this product on river rocks in my garden?

I have laminate floor and get stains due to liquid spill or water. Is this product make laminate water proof or will it prevent liquid spilled on floor to damage laminate floor.

Hello. We do not have a non yellowing exterior clear coating. The least yellowing is the Water Based Helmsman Spar Urethane but it will still be noticeable on white surfaces. Regards, Minwax Customer Support

When you say 500sq.ft coverage area is that just one coat? So if I have a 500 sq.ft area and want to finish with 3 coats I will need 3 gallons?

Rated 5 de 5 de BaldEagle par GREAT PRODUCT Have used MINWAX products since 1969. This Polyurethane, in Clear Satin, Semi-Gloss, or Full Gloss cannot be beat. Use a medium brush and it leaves NO STREAKS. Dries rather quick and leaves a smooth surface. I use two or three coats, with a very gentle abrasion between the coats. The finished product is ready for the rough treatment of toddler and teens. Am now 82 years young, and just finished an oversized ottoman to store my train cars in, when not in use. Covered the top with a six inch foam seat covered in Railroad Engineer stripped material. Matches my Engineer hat. The wood for the ottoman is knotty Alder. Used antique brass hardware to dress it up. Beautiful production. Ready for rough use.

The company that finished the hardwood floors used Minwax stain and topcoated with Minwax semi-gloss polyurethane. Man did the floors look good and the durability was excellent! I have since built three new homes and renovated one. Minwax products have always been used and my number one choice for ease of application, appearance and durability. Being an avid woodworker, I also use Minwax aerosol for small projects and touch-up. Minwax and wood go together like soup and sandwich.

Rated 1 de 5 de Bob c par Amber streaking I just finished the second 50+ year old chest of drawers for my great grandkids. Both were prepared the same way in same conditions. The first chest I used the old “clear gloss “ on brilliant white paint and result was a very attractive amber with a great shine. The second I didn’t have enough of the old gloss so I bought a gallon of the New Warm Gloss and was told it was the same formula?? Nope!! I now have amber streaks, I put on second coat hoping it would even out, just made it worse. I have used Minwax for 20 years and never had a problem, until they changed. Too Bad, looking for new supplier.

Rated 5 de 5 de Chairman par Love The Spray I have been a long time user of all Minwax products. The stains, polyurethanes,including Polycrylic and wipe on poly. I started using the spray polyurethane on several small projects a few years ago and I absolutely love it. If you follow the instructions and do several light coats 2 hours apart, it will give you a professional looking finish on all wooden surfaces. I've used the satin, semi gloss and the gloss. I haven't been disappointed yet. I love the way the spray nozzle turns to spray horizontally and vertically. I have had no problems with the nozzle clogging, even after storing cans for several months. I am a fan of all Minwax products and I plan on using them for many years to come.

I looked on the internet and there are lots of people with the same complaint! This used to be a great dependable product and it has changed for the worst. Usually the satin has a layer of dulling compound on the bottom that you have to stir to mix but this new can had nothing on the bottom when I stirred it. Minwax has either changed the formula or made a bad batch. It is going back this morning. If you really want the satin look use something else!

Rated 4 de 5 de Whit par Mistakes Made - Lesson Learned I just finished a project. Unfortunately, after using Expresso stain, I had an old can of satin Minwax Fast Drying Poly. After adding the first coat, it was very shiny. Unfortunately, after reviewing my problem, the additive in the stain that causes the satin finish was not stirred well. I re-coated several times from a new can and got some improvement. Lesson learned - If you have to pry the top off an old can, throw it away. Now I have a semi-gloss finish and the original stain is darker than I wanted. I was using rough cedar. Should I have also put pre-stain on that before I stained it? Oh well!!!

Rated 1 de 5 de Daniel C par Don't waste your time I bought this product to finish a small bench I put together. The stain worked fine and After drying for 3 days I sprayed the first coat of Poly. A few minutes after it started drying I noticed it turned into a white plastic film. I figured maybe I thought was my mistake on something I did so I sanded down against and repeated the the whole process: Stain, Dry and finish. Again then product just turned into a white plastic film that ruined my work. I find this product has too many restrictions as to what it can be used with so just stay away Fromm it unless you ate a professional pen you're used to their products

Rated 2 de 5 de BoxMaker par Minwax warm Satin not the same as clear satin I have been a long time user of Minwax clear satin polyurethane. When trying to restock my shop, I found clear satin is no longer available. Minwax tells me they now sell warm Satin and that it is the same thing. I am only a two person shop but both of us noticed a difference between the clear and the warm. We have good experience with clear and limited with the warm. We both find warm to be more difficult to work with as it tends to run more and level out less. Net result is more sanding and more coats. Disappointing. We also feel the warm is a tad glossier than clear. Not what we want but not so much that it is a problem. We very much would like to see clear on the shelf and not the new warm.
