There are tabs on the bottom where you hold a 9V battery to power up the lock

No, it is not. And for that fact, cannot be tampered remotely. One of the reasons I bought it. (looks real SMART though:-)

Rated 1 de 5 de Cam3 par Worked for one month. I was initially very happy with this product as our family members no longer had to carry a key. The screen design looks sleek and the safety features seemed to make sense. But after about 3 months this lock no longer functions properly. The touch screen does not pick up the numbers we push even after several attempts of pushing the same number. It takes so long now for the screen to finally recognize that we are pushing a number. I'm going to try and return this lock but it's been about 3 months now so we will see. Very disappointed.

Also the screen is unresponsive: we have tried tapping softly, tapping hard, with various parts of our fingers - what works one day doesn't work the other. The only guarantee is that we will spend a long time getting it to work each time we use it. I will be returning as soon as I find the time to put back the old lock.

Tried calling customer service a couple of times and after using their automated answering system for a couple of minutes I finally get to the right department and then says sorry were closed and it hangs up. As a professional I highly recommend you do your research and read reviews as the odds are the more people that are complaining about a product, the more likely it sucks. This smart lock was hit and miss on whether it wanted to let you in. The fact that there was no key option made this a bad idea from the get go. Ironically of all the Weiser smart locks i have bought this is still the best looking one, just terrible engineering!

This is the second time we have tried to install this lock, it worked for about a month the first time, but was loud, beeped too much and the batteries kept dying very quickly. It stopped locking about two months in, so we uninstalled and installed again to find that the locking mechanism was turned upside down and would no longer open or close with the electric motor. We exchanged it for a new one and installed it following the instructions perfectly. We put the batteries in and waiting for the test screen to say it worked or failed, but it just kept beeping and not displaying anything, while the motor kept trying to move the bolt. We removed the battery pack and housing to check the connections and the locking mechanism had been turned upside down again. Even when it did work, it was loud and took way more time than a traditional key lock. Save your time and money.

Rated 1 de 5 de disappointed in Weiser par poor product and no manufacturers support bought this unit and installed it on September 11, 2020. the motor failed on June 15, 2022 lucky it failed when it was locking or I would have been locked out of my house with no options to get back in. Weiser said "it happens, go buy another one" I know people with Schlage - and they get replacement product support sent express to their residence.

Rated 4 de 5 de Jackboson par Simple good product Purchased it in September 2018, took 15 mins to replace the lock and 5 mins to set up. So far it works well. The auto-locking feature is funny since it locks even the door is open. The touchscreen is not very sensitive, it may be a problem in the -30 degree temperature. So far it is a simple good product.
