What is the AMP output of the motor of this snow blower? Thanks

Posée par: Tom3
144wh/80V =1.8amp but specs say 2.0amp. Takes 30 min to fully charge. I get roughly 40 min of use
Répondue par: No luck here

I know this is battery operated but can it also use an extension cord while the battery needs charging - I noticed that the Snow Joe equivalent machine can do that

Posée par: ChristineDEOEA
No there is no extension cord but it only takes about 20 min to charge, though it is recommended to let it sit for a while immediately after using and before recharging...enough time for me to rest as well!

I tried my snowblower on ~10cm snow and it had a problem that I'm not sure if it's a defect: during 30min work it stopped 6 times! Every time I had to press the button and pull the handle again, and 2 times I had to wait 5s (didn't start immediately)

Posée par: Pourta
Yes, definitely the issue here is you are going too fast. Go slower and let the snow shoot out before advancing.

What is the advantage of a 80V snow blower over a 40V model?

Posée par: lchan_2000
As per the rules of electricity Power = voltage x the square amperage Case 1 Power = 80v x square of 2 amp = 320 joules Case 2 Power = 40v x square of 4 amp = 540 joules Conclusion the 40v 2 amp is almost twice as powerful

Why is this description wrong?  It mentions comes with 2 led lights, it does not.  Handle for turning chute Shows a nice round handle, the one packaged is a bent part of the bar.  It states 4 year warranty, but box states 5 year, 3 year on battery.

Posée par: Spuggy

I tried to assemble the snow thrower and inserted the rod that controls the chute. It seems to me the chute rotating mechanism is very flimsy and the platic within the machine broke. Now the chute can’t rotate. Is there a solution?

Posée par: Jack27f
I have been using mine for a year now, and haven’t had any problems. The part looks good and I don’t find it flimsy at all. You may have a defective part. I would check with Lowe’s to see if they can replace the part, or you can probably order it on line from Kobalt. My mom has the same unit and she hasn’t had any problems either.

I bought this snow blower yesterday and tried to charge the battery. The charger initially had the green light on. But then started blinking a red light. Is something wrong? I tried reinserting the battery into the charger a few times. Same result.

Posée par: Mazter
I have the same model, a double blinking light means its cold. keep it plugged in and it will eventually go back to a blinking green then when charged a solid green

Souffleuse à neige à pile, 20'', 80 V Lithium-ion est évalué 4.0 de 5 de 47.
Rated 5 de 5 de par Great machine! We bought this unit just before Christmas and used it immediately. It’s terrific! Does exactly what we wanted and expected. We stay away from the icy buildup at the bottom of the driveway after the plow has passed. The auger is plastic and we don’t want to push it. A little shoveling is no problem. Another plus is the size of the machine and it’s footprint. We have a single car garage and the gas unit we had before required that the car had to come out before we could use it. Now, we can access it without doing that. The machine is also quiet for those early morning cleans and the neighbors hearing. On top of all this, it was on sale! Woohoo!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Ease of use Very easy to use, light and powerful! I enjoy just having to charge it up and away I go, no mess no fuss, I like it! I owned a 24" dual stage gas blower for many years but it was such a chore just getting it ready and not worth it for my small 2 car driveway. Not sure about the all plastic construction but so far holding up ok aside from some chips on the front skid already after one use. Otherwise very happy with it. We just had 10 cm of snow, I did my driveway, both my neighbours driveways and a large part of the sidewalk spanning 4 homes just for kicks. It handle it like a champ, was done in about 20 min with half battery remaining. Can't wait for the next snowfall :)

Rated 3 de 5 de par Acceptable but not exceptional I've had the snowblower for a few months now but due to lack of snow I have only used it twice and cannot comment on the durability of the machine. PROS- Lightweight. Great battery life. LED lights. Compact. Great price. CONS- Only does an "acceptable" job of clearing the snow. Does not get right down to the pavement but does thin out the layer of snow nicely so it is an ok machine if that is what you are looking to do. Sometimes does not "throw" the snow and the snow just dribbles down onto what you've just cleared. A bit time-consuming to put together. Plastic.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great littlr rig I had a good electric corded blower that did all I wanted. Unfortunately it needed a pretty heavy duty cord that was unmanageable if left out in an unheated shed - the cord froze up. Also the cord was a pain in that it only went so far. I can take the Kobalt blower out in the back yard where I put down feed for the wild turkeys and such. Up and down stairs is a breeze and as long as I don't let the snow get more than 6 or 7 inches deep (preferably 3 - 5 ) it is not at all difficult to push. The battery charges up by the time you make and drink a coffee and is a snap to put in or take out of the blower. I really like it

Rated 5 de 5 de par Works Great! I've only used it twice, but, so far so good. My drive way is 25x22 and this took care of the few CM of snow handily. Easy to assemble, very light and easy to move. LED lights are bright and the blower is fairly quiet. Small and doesn't take up much space in the garage. It could use a little more weight to keep the front end down, and the handle may be a little short for tall people. The push button (start switch) could be in a better spot. Feels a bit overpriced compared to it's gas model cousins, though. The spout should also go one more notch lower, so the snow doesn't fly as far in some spot. Overall, I'm happy with the blower, unhappy with how expensive it is. But at least I don't have to buy gas for it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par I love it!!! I love this thing! I have a large drive way with a boulevard on a corner lot. I already had a large 2 stage snow blower and an electric (plug in) snow thrower. The snow blower was heavy and awkward. The corded snow thrower was a pain with the cord. This battery powered one is easy to get going and maneuver. So far it has handled every thing. I don't know how it would handle heavy wet snow though. You need to get out fairly quickly, once the snow gets hard packed the machine is not heavy enough to get down to the pavement. Sold my snow blower and gave away the corded snow thrower.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Works great for what it is Personally I feel for the work it does its alittle on the expensive side. However, history has shown electric cordless is never cheap. Just look at Kobalts 80V mower. The bad: -Single stage so not an extrodinary amount of power for throwing the snow far. -Nearly 0 throwing power on skiffs less then 1cm. -Also next to no throwing power when slushy. -Plastic blade has a hard time cutting through any hard packed snow. To get hard packed you must tilt it forward and push hard back and forth and it will get some of it but not all. However this defeats the purpose of a snow blower as the labor to do this is not much different then scraping with a shovel. -If you catch a rock it will make noises like it is dying until it works itself out. -After 3 snow falls I already see pits and chunks out in the auger. The good: -Very light. I actually wall mounted it on Plywood in my garage for storage. -Very quiet operation at idle. Of course a little louder when chopping the snow depending on consistancy. But my Kobalt 80V backpack blower is WAY louder. -Handles a decent amount of snow without stalling. Was able to do a good 8" with little effort. -Plastic blade works on most surfaces and you can control the depth by tilting back. Was able to blow the snow off my grass in the backyard as well without digging it up. -Battery definitely holds up to their 45min run time estimate. Overall I am fairly happy with it. Perfect for people who do not have the room for a big dual stage in their garage or do not want the maintanence of gas. Does what it advertises. Though not perfectly like a dual stage with steel blades could. But the versatility is there with the light weight. Can't comment on the durability and lifetime of the cheap plastic auger though or the ease of finding a replacement.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Does not work, waste of money I bought this snow blower in August when it was on sale. I went to use it for the first time on Nov.11, 2019. I tried 3 different fully charged batteries and none of them worked. The blower was completely dead. I called Lowe's customer service and they told me to take it to a repair shop in Edmonton. The repair shop said it would take a month to fix.
