Rated 5 de 5 de Kelly par Dremel 3000 - Little Work Horse [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in the Pocono mountains where temperatures in the winter months can hover around 0. Had delayed installing a backsplash comprised of a thicker stone because I couldn’t set up my wet saw outside iin those conditions. Not to put off the project and longer than necessary, I purchasef the Dremel 3000 and a few accessory diamond blades and was able to make quick work of the project without a water source, it’s the little engine that could as far as I’m concerned and of course the Dremel provides maximum flexibility when it comes to any small project based on all of the available attachments. I’m a believer!

Rated 5 de 5 de Doggone par Dremel for Dog Toes I bought this Dremel to do my dogs' toenails. I have had several of the cordless pet Dremels, but the batteries always degrade after a year. Also, even on the higher of the two settings, the grinding goes too slowly (especially when you have 4-5 dogs to do). I decide to get a corded model this time, and to get one that could accommodate the flex shaft, which is good for both my hand (which goes numb after a while with the cordless) and for the dogs (since the noise is farther removed from the dog). I set the variable speed at about the half-way point, and was able to quickly take the toenails down with brief touches. And my hand did not go numb.

The variable speed model gives the most versatility in completing the task at hand, from cutting to polishing, and after awhile you will start looking for more reasons and new possible applications for using this tool. My most recent use involved using a cutting wheel to sheer off old nails from some built in kitchen cabinetry I was modifying to allow installation of an OTR microwave. If you have ever been in the middle of a project and thought, "if I just had a tool that could....", more than likely, you can find a way to use your Dremel!

Rated 5 de 5 de Frank par Everyone needs a Dremel !! I borrowed a Dremel for a wood working project and was amazed at the precision and versatility of this tool. Subsequently, I purchased a variable speed 3000 model at Lowe's and have since used it multiple times on wood, metal, plastic and glass. Successful projects have included polishing scratches from a watch crystal, converting a metal recliner chair handle with a circular attachment to a square attachment for use on a different brand recliner, using the right angle attachment to attach screws in a small. otherwise inaccessible space, etc, etc. The 3000 model is a high quality tool with easy to attach/remove mandrels. I wish I had invested in this tool years ago!!

Rated 5 de 5 de DirtySanchez par Every hobbyist needs a Dremel. This is the 3rd Dremel I purchase, and the 4th I've owned. I have one (still works well) that belonged to my grandfather. It is a single speed one, and I feel bad using it. I bought battery powered one about 20 years ago, and the battery no longer holds a charge. About 6 years ago, I bought one that I used so much that the brushes wore out completely. With new ones it still works, but not as strong as it used to be. I may or may not have spilled paint on it, and that may or may not have had an effect on it. Don't spill paint in/on them! Also, I bought it as a Cyber Monday Special, so value should be above excellent. This latest one runs like a champ... or like a Dremel.

Rated 5 de 5 de pkennedy par A good value I purchased the Dremel 3000 to cut a groove in a stripped screw head so I could remove the screw. This was my last resort and thank goodness it worked. I chose this model over a cordless because I had read from reviews that the cordless does not have the same torque as a corded tool. I purchased some cutter wheels along with this so I could cut the groove in the screw head. I'm certain I will find other uses for the Dremel 3000, but even solving the one problem, it is a good value.

Rated 5 de 5 de KE0ARR par great multi use tool I have used a Dremel since the 90's. The first one was just on or off, this is 5,000 to 32,000 rpm. This one has the ability to use different tools on it. I honestly have only found a few things I was unable to do with this tool.

Rated 1 de 5 de doc1975 par Lock Failed on Two Identical Models This is my second purchase of the same Dremel 300 model... and both failed identically. The locking mechanism that holds the spindle from moving when changing out attachments, fails to stay engaged making it impossible to change out the bit which is now locked i place... unless you dismantle the tool - which I'm sure would invalidate the warranty. Do NOT recommend this model to anyone.
