Distributeur d'eau, température multiples, noir/platine est évalué 3.8 de 5 de 5.
Rated 5 de 5 de par I’m a very happy customer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great item. It’s very easy to use. My family loves it. I like having a choice between hot, cold, and room temperature water. The cold water is cold and the hot water gets very hot, but there Is a child safety switch. I’m happy about having hot water heated only when I need it. It takes just under 3 minutes to heat. It was very easy to set up. The 5 gallon water bottle I used easily slid into place. It’s very quiet. It has a nice blue light that lights up my kitchen at night. I had no problem understanding the instructions. I would highly recommend this product. I love the fact that’s this is an energy srar product.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Good unit for on-demand cold water [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is very useful for on demand cold water. I have a family of four that drinks water regularly and we went through a 5 gallon tank in about a week. The hot water function leaves a bit to be desired as it takes about 3 minutes to heat up. It's just as quick to put water in the microwave to heat it. The loading and unloading process was easy and is quick. Overall, very happy with the unit as a whole; although, a little low for our liking (needs to be about 8-10 inches taller with the water distribution tray up some.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Numerous issues I purchased this because I wanted a bottom-loading with 3 temperature choices (hot, cold, room) for water. None of the store models had these. I was not aware that you had to manually turn on the heating each time you wanted hot water, so this unit has no option to keep the water hot for on-demand use. Also the outlet spigot directs water slightly to the rear and causes you to hold a cup or glass up directly under it to make sure the water gets into the container; it would be better for the water to come straight down so you could set the container on the spill tray. Another issue is that in the manual, a cold temperature setting shows a knob on the rear of the unit which doesn't exist on this unit. Instead there is a recessed adjustment for a small flat head screwdriver. It is difficult to determine where the setting is currently since there is no knob like shown in the manual. To determine how it is set, you must rotate the adjustment in both directions to see where it was (full clockwise to full counter clockwise). Another annoyance is the excessive lighting from the name plate and other areas is sufficient to read by in a dark room. On the good side: The cooling down is faster than my previous unit which allowed me to disable either the cooling or heating independently. This unit has no shutoff for the cooling and except for the switching of the compressor, it is quiet. The loudest noise is from the pumping and it is only a few seconds, so noise is not an issue. I state that I would recommend this, but would add that the recommendation would be with caution that the only way to get hot water is to manually activate the heating, then wait for it to heat. It does stay hot for a while, but it does not maintain the heating, so once you use up what was heated or it cools down, then you have to press the heat button again and wait. My microwave can heat a cup of water faster than this unit.

Rated 4 de 5 de par A really nifty idea. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This hot/cold water cooler is just perfect for us. The water bottles just slide into the bottom as described. The machine will dispense hot water, if needed, and by timing the draw, it is possible to draw off a quantity that is not steaming. The temperature controller could be changed to allow the owner to set the cold water to something higher than is presently offered. When I depressed the center button, I was hoping for something closer to room temperature water, but it delivered something around 53 degrees. The steel "straw" that draws water up from the bottle was a bit difficult to extend to its full length. Once inserted into the bottle the assembly was very effective in drawing every bit of water out of the bottle, save about two tablespoons full. The manual declares that the handle on the "straw" can be used to lift the bottle onto the floor of the machine, but I did not see any mechanism that would allow that. The side panels are loosely mounted, it seemed. The overall effect is that although the rear metal panel and the coils are relatively securely mounted, the side panels have a feel of impermanence. Telephone customer service is acceptable, if not overly friendly. I spoke with the same person on two occasions, on different days. He DID suggest that a 1:1 solution of vinegar and water (8 cups total) would be an acceptable way to clean the machine for first use, and every four months after instead of the solution the manual recommends for purchase. That was most helpful.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Vitapur stainless bottom-loading water cooler [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon receipt of the cooler I began immediately to unpack and set up the unit. The unit was drop shipped to my home and the product packaging was within a corrugated shipping box (thus double packed). The best way to remove both the shipping and product packaging is to slit the bottom flaps on both shipping and product container boxes and remove the packing by slipping each box up from the floor thus leaving the cooler intact and upright. Once the cartons were removed and upon further investigation the operating manual and set up instructions were found packaged inside the lower cabinet cooler door. After a cursory inspection of the manual, I decided to procure a 5 gallon water canister to complete set up. My local big box superstores and supermarket don't carry 3 or 5 gallon water canisters, so I drove to my local Lowe's and procured a 5 gallon exchangeable jug which is the same brand stocked in the store for in-store water coolers sold for pick up. (The Vitapur cooler reviewed herein is not stocked at my local Lowe's). Upon purchasing the water canister my first observation was the per gallon cost was considerably higher than buying comparable 1 gallon jugs at my local big box superstores and/or supermarket. I reasoned the higher cost might be worth it since one jug/trip would suffice versus continually going back and forth to buy 1 gallon jugs. On to the set up. With 5 gallon water canister at the ready I began to place the unit where it would stand in my kitchen and endeavored to follow the Vitapur printed instructions. The unit features a convenient grab handle on the rear of the cabinet which allowed me to position the unit where I wanted it. The water "straw" as the manual calls it, is the siphon arm which is inserted through the 5 gallon water canister membrane spout and extends down to the bottom of the jug. The straw mechanism is attached to the unit's front door, locked into place by a plastic C-clamp mechanism that holds the "straw" in place while in transit. Gently spreading the C-clamp while pulling the handle out from the door will eventually release the straw unit to insert into the water canister. Another separate printed tag describes how the "straw" should be retracted from the unit in a "telescoping" motion to achieve the desired depth of the water canister and the "straw" has markings to denote the proper extension length. Additionally, the instruction manual notes that the straw handle may be lowered and then positioned upright once the straw is inserted into the water canister to "lock" the mechanism to the neck of the canister and thereby making it easy to maneuver the heavy 5 gallon canister into the lower unit cabinet. Attempting to use the handle lock as instructed did not grip the lip of the canister and resulted in no grab, thus the straw unit would pull out since it did not lock in place. I lowered the handle and simply shoved the unit into the lower cabinet since the handle lock was of no use. I was both unfamiliar and surprised to find out that the straw unit simply sits on the lip of the canister and simply by the weight of the straw unit that is the covering. I would have thought it preferable to have a tight seal around the jug lip but such appears not to be the case. With the unit plugged in and positioned I turned the unit on and a luminescent blue light illuminated both the operating panel and the water spigot area on the front top of the unit. After allowing the unit to power up, I did not see an option to turn the lighting off? The manual refers to the illumination providing a "night light" but it is continuous and rather bright if one desires to turn the light off which seems you can't do. The provision for temperature control for both cold and hot use is rather arcane and more trial and error than a precise operation. While the hot is factory set, the cold feature relies on finding the proper set screw balance. One would think a simple factory setting of 1-6 with 6 being "most cold" would make more sense than turning a screw right or left and waiting to see if the temperature is sufficient for use. I should note that the Vitapur manual refers customers to a video link which actually did a better job of understanding set up rather than viewing the images contained in the product manual. What surprised me more was the video had accompanying reviews of the product and few if any were complimentary. That said, after waiting an appropriate amount of time, I tested the cold water dispensing and noted two issues, the first is the flow of water was consistent but rather slow. The second and more disturbing feature is the water dispenses close to the back wall of the fill area, thus rather than dispensing more to the middle of the vessel it dispenses closer to the back of the unit, thus if a glass or container is not touching the back of the fill area, it could easily miss the lip and pour out into the reservoir area or down and out onto the floor. As I left the unit to fully charge overnight, the next morning I noted the lights were off. So too were several of my kitchen outlets and after some further checking I noted the unit must have tripped my GFI circuit, thus the power drain must be considerable and may require a separate power source for the drain, given I have never had any other counter top appliance trip a GFI or breaker. Given the less than satisfactory experience with the unit, it is now re-packaged and ready to be returned given I find it too much trouble to contend with and truth be told man-handling a 5 gallon jug of water is a lot harder than hefting a one gallon water jug from my local stores.
