This will be installed against concrete block wall, both above and below grade... is this product suitable?

Yes. Just stud the wall out a couple inches from the concrete wall to allow an air space.

I have an old house and its framed with 2x2 in the basement. can I split this in half to fit the studs?

Better to add 2x2 or rip recycled 2x4s in half with a table saw and take full advantage of the R14 insulating perfornance of a 3.5” thick batt.  Doing the same as we speak.  Could also consider more costly pink rigid foam board that has an R5 per inch of depth.  Can get it in 1.5” thick.  Would need to cover with vapour barrier in either case to ensure no condensation and mold in the walls.  Lastly gyprock needs to be installed to provide fire protection for rigid pink foam board.  Glass wool batts are naturally fire resistant.  Good luck & Happy Holidays!!!

This is your specific situation. The product has dimensions on the package. Take measurements of your space and compare with dimensions on the product. Product can be cut to size.

The R14 comfort bats fully fill a 2x4 stud space. If you wish to add Comfortboard you will need additional depth.
